Accelerated Orthodontics
(fast teeth straightening)

Accelerated Orthodontics or Fast Teeth Straightening is a method of speeding up orthodontic treatment for those patients who desire quicker results with less time wearing braces.

This method was developed by a team of dental specialists. The technique can be applied to just about every case of orthodontics. It requires a safe, minor surgical procedure that enables the teeth to move quicker, without as much loss of either root or bone as in the past.

Below are photographs of patients treated by Fast Teeth Straightening. Each patient would have been in braces for a minimum of 2 years under traditional treatment, but since Fast Teeth Straightening was performed, each case below took less than 8 months.

Patient A

This was a 13 year old boy with severe malposition of his upper canines.

After only six months and one week later, his ortho treatment is basically done.

Patient B

This was a 23 year old female with crowding and rotation on her teeth.

Only seven months and one week later, her teeth line up much more ideally.

With the new Fast Teeth Straightening procedure, most patients are in and out of braces in 3-8 months! Many patients' teeth can be safely straightened 3-4 times faster than when they undergo traditional orthodontic treatment.

Fast Teeth Straightening involves a safe minor in-office surgical procedure along with conventional orthodontic treatment by a team of specialists specifically trained in this accelerated method. The procedure is called “Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics” (Wilckodontics). Dr. Poulos and a group of local orthodontists were the first team of specialists in Northern California specifically trained in this method along with several other groups in the United States.
